Great place to play softball and remember the man, the myth, the legend, and local baseball hero/Cincinnati Reds 3rd baseman--Chris Sabo. Fun fact. Chris sabo once pointed his bat to left field at this park with the bases loaded and his team being down by three in the bottom of the ninth. With out a doubt, Sabo swung and struck out. The pitcher btw was legendary local myth and MLB all-star John Smiley. As you can guess, Smiley was all smiles after striking out Sabo. Fun fact 2: The movie Field of Dreams w Kevin Costner was based off real life and similiar events that happened at on this field. The only real difference between the plot of the movie and real life is that the players were not former NY yankee players who were ghosts; but rather, in the real story at South Branch, the players were all former Cincinnati Reds players who played in the 90s. All of them were still alive too. They just had nothing better to do that summer and all collectively thought, "hey, why not live in a corn field for a summer?"
