HI Mississippi Headwaters Hostel

Great little hostel tucked in the woods. I've only been here in the winter, but I'm sure it's delightful in any season. It has a fireplace and several common areas as well as a well-stocked kitchen and a large dining room. The beds are comfortable, though there could be more space in the rooms for bags/luggage. That's my only issue, though, and it's a common enough issue in hostels.

Very nice accommodations at Lake Itasca the starting point of the Mississippi River... excellent birding, paddling, hiking recreational opportunities...also some of the best bike paths I have ridden on...The staff person Jamie was a delight...sleeps 20+ people in an assortment of bunk bed filled suites...great team building retreat venue... I'll be back...
