I went in to apply for a paid bell ringing position, and was very turned off my the interaction and interview with the Captain/ Minister. Starting off with everyone misgendering me, and not asking what my pronouns are, and still getting it wrong after I corrected them. Then, the interview, itself, was presented with stress. I've bell rang in other locations, I suggest this captain/ minister learn from others about how to present a situation as important and draw sympathy from it, instead of presenting it as a stressful situation and going into the consequences. I was always judged on my appearance about ho to dress for winter, as if the weather today called for what level I was being judged on. There's no reason for me to care about what goes on with the branch if I'm bring presented with stress, judgement, and consequences at the door. Minneapolis is not a place that's short on entry level jobs, and they need to remember that an interview goes both ways, and the person can decide to go else.where, and that is a consequence FOR THEM.
