Their butter on the popcorn is totally tasteless. I was so disappointed because that's part of the "going to the movies" experience, and for what it costs, you should get butter. I ordered the big refillable bucket and couldn't eat but 1/4 of it. I used to have the bucket refilled and bring it home. This bucket ended up in the garbage can. Speaking of that, the garbage can was over flowing and I hoped my popcorn wasn't going to end up on the floor, and the cup holder for my chair had garbage in it as well. Fingers smelled like butter but the flavor just wasn't there - eating oil. My adult daughter stood at the concession stand waiting for someone to take her order but no-one asked her so she just left without pop or popcorn and it wasn't even busy. People around us were in the movie with their phones on which was a real distraction. We have been going to this theater for many many years but our experience with the new ownership and the new changes aren't very positive. I won't be ordering popcorn anymore, at least not theirs.
Always great prices! Can't wait for the revamping and new seats. They're seats are queaky and a bit outdated - but always enjoy this theater!
I Absolutely Love Going to see a Movie at the East Bethel Emagine Theater. Although there is always a handful of entitled people when it's the night a movie premiers thinking they are Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. It's a Great Low Cost Theater you can go to with the Whole Family and NOT Break the Bank. I'm from Saint Paul and been to the Fancy Icon and Showplace and AMC theaters, but I would much rather see a movie in East Bethel. The Staff is on the Younger Side, but they're always friendly and seem to care about what they're doing and make it a fun low cost, high energy time. If you don't mind the "Everyone Owes Me Something" suburban crowd at some times, this is the best Bang for your Buck by far!
